Crystal Clear Communications is the exclusive telecommunications/television provider for Tollgate Village. A special agreement between the original developer of Tollgate Village and Crystal Clear Communications provided Crystal Clear with exclusive easements for telecommunications services on Tollgate. Due to this arrangement, other services providers that may wish to provide the infrastructure to provide service in Tollgate Village are prohibited from using these exclusive easements. Essentially that makes it impractical for other providers to establish service in Tollgate Village.

Should an alternative provider be available via wireless or satellite, residents of Tollgate Village are still required to pay $75 per month if they elect to cancel all Crystal Clear services.

Efforts are underway with the Town of Thompson’s Station and a class action lawsuit on behalf of Tollgate residents to gain relief from current homeowner obligations to Crystal Clear.
